To Our LMA Members-
As an update from my letter last Thursday, the LMA Board of Directors and staff have been working around the clock as we navigate the COVID-19 outbreak and its impact in our community. Thank you to those who have raised questions, offered suggestions and provided support. As this continues to affect our community in various ways, we share your concerns and know that you are seeking more information from us.
It should go without saying, the health and safety of our members, staff and conference attendees remain the top priority of the Board of Directors. However, under the advice of legal counsel, our level of communication is limited at this time.
In these uncharted circumstances, which include several layers of logistical and legal obligations, we are working with our legal counsel, the Gaylord Rockies and the American Conference Institute (ACI). In addition, we continue to monitor and consult updates from CDC, WHO, Denver Public Health and other healthcare resources to ensure that we are fully informed and staying on top of the evolving information being released.
We appreciate your patience as we finalize the decisions around the conference. We are aware that several organizations have canceled their conferences and some firms/companies have restricted travel.
As a resource, our Northeast Region is leading the charge to collect and share information around COVID-19. They have created a platform for sharing which can be accessed here on Facebook. We thank them for their swift leadership on this issue.
We know that these are unusual and challenging circumstances that many of us have not had to navigate before, but the strength and power of our LMA community lies in how we support one another during times like these. Thank you again for your patience and ongoing support. Please be assured that providing you with communication when available is a top priority. We will send another update by Tuesday, March 10th and will provide any additional information we have as it becomes available.
Sincerely,
